The all-new 2020 Lincoln Corsair, which replaces last year's shorter wheelbase MKC, is Lincoln's small but ultra-luxurious SUV. At Vic Bailey Lincoln in Spartanburg, South Caroline, we're really excited about the multiple advantages the new Corsair brings to the Lincoln SUV lineup versus the competition. One of its major challengers is the 2020 BMW X3. We wanted to see how the X3 stacks up against our all-new Lincoln Corsair.

The 2020 Lincoln Corsair Warranty - Better Than 2020 BMW X3

We begin by comparing each SUV's warranty. Our review finds the 2020 Lincoln Corsair has a New Vehicle Warranty of 48 months/50,000 miles. This matches the 2020 BMW X3 New Vehicle Warranty. However, the Lincoln Corsair Powertrain Warranty comes in at 72 months/70,000 miles, while the BMW X3 Powertrain Warranty is only 48 months/ 50,000 miles. The Corsair Powertrain Warranty is 24 months and 20,000 miles longer than the X3's. The 2020 Corsair's Roadside Assistance coverage is amazing as well. With unlimited months and unlimited miles- it covers you every single day you own the Corsair! The 2020 BMW X3 is limited to only 48 months. The Lincoln Corsair Powertrain Warranty and Roadside Assistance coverage clearly beat the BMW X3, offering superior peace of mind.

2020 BMW X3 - Much More Expensive than the 2020 Lincoln Corsair

The starting price of the 2020 Lincoln Corsair is $35,945. The 2020 BMW X3 starting price is $41,950. It will cost you $6,005 more to buy the BMW X3 than the Lincoln Corsair. That's a huge difference-nearly 17% higher!

2020 Lincoln Corsair Standard Engine More Powerful Than 2020 BMW X3 Engine

The standard engine for the 2020 Lincoln Corsair is a 2.0L turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine. It produces 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. EPA fuel economy ratings come in at 22 Miles per Gallon (MPG) in the city and 29 MPG on the highway for a combined MPG of 25.

The 2020 BMW X3 base engine is also a 2.0L turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine. It generates only 248 horsepower and even less favorable 258 lb-ft of torque. Its fuel efficiency numbers are 25 MPG city and 29 MPG highway for a combined MPG of 27.

In the city, Corsair gives 3 MPG to the X3, but equals the BMW in highway MPG. But the Corsair engine produces more power than the X3, making the slight disparity in fuel-efficiency negligible for luxury drivers craving the a comfortable thrill ride.

BMW's 2020 X3 has a lot less cargo space behind the second-row seat, 28.7 cubic feet. With the second-row seats folded, you get 62.7 cubic feet.
